USAGE EXAMPLES
|
PROTEX
5 |
Used
on various surfaces to include exterior aluminum kins in the aerospace
industry. After applications, tape can be routed, drilled, countersunk and
riveted. Used on bare metal, titanium, stainless steel and
painted surfaces. Liner allows the product to be die-cut if desired. |
PROTEX10V |
Aircraft
window protection where light transmission is not required. Acrylic and polycarbonate windows,
canopies and windshields. Also used on bare metal and
painted surfaces where added resistance to abrasion is required. Protex 10V is used where more adhesion than Protex 10VS is needed.
Liner allows the
product to be die-cut if desired. |
PROTEX 10VS |
Aircraft
window protection where light transmission is not required. Acrylic and polycarbonate windows, canopies
and windshields. Also used on bare metal and painted
surfaces where added resistance to abrasion is required.
Self wound with lower
tack level than 10V. Meets
rigid specifications of aerospace industry. |
| PROTEX 20S |
Wing walk areas to
eliminate damage from foot traffic, top areas of aircraft and on leading edges.
Used for Tedlar ® interior protection in ceiling
areas, overhead storage compartments and for exterior skin protection where
heavy duty protection is required. Used to protect graphite
composite surfaces from impact damage that could result in interlayer
fracturing. PROTEX 20S may also be used for movie studio backdrops,
cover-ups, and painting of sets. It can withstand 60 pounds of sandblasting
pressure for decorative applications, i.e. glass etching and light blasting on
wood.
Liner allows the
product to be die-cut if desired. |
| PROTEX 20V |
Heavy duty protection of
acrylic windows, canopies, windshields and certain metal and painted surfaces
where high abrasion resistance is required. Protex 20V is used to protect wood interiors of high quality
business jets during manufacturing. |
| PROTEX
20VS |
Used
to protect acrylic windows, canopies and windshields, as well as bare metals,
glossy, polished and painted surfaces. The paper is vinyl coated on one side
and will withstand more abrasion than comparable papers. PROTEX 20VS has been
manufactured to meet rigid specifications of the aircraft industry.
One of the advantages to the PROTEX 20VS adhesive system is that if the
adhesive-coated side of the paper comes into contact with itself (e.g. if the
paper is folded), the product will not block. The two surfaces can be pulled
apart without the adhesive being pulled off the paper backing on either side.
This will prevent having to dispose of any unusable product.
Do not use on copper, brass, or anodized aluminum, outdoor exposure is not recommended. |
| PROTEX
20VR |
Heavy
duty protection of acrylic windows, canopies ,
windshields and certain metal and painted surfaces
where high abrasion resistance is required. |
| PROTEX
40S |
Lighter weight translucent
material for aircraft windows and areas where minimum light transmission is
required. Protection
of stretched and unstretched acrylic, plexiglass , polycarbonate and plastic surfaces in sheet or
formed states. |
| PROTEX
40HD1 |
Protect
wing walk areas to eliminate damage from foot traffic, top areas of aircraft
wings leading edges and exterior skins during installation and fabrication.
Interior protection on ceilings and overhead storage
compartments. PROTEX 40HD has proven to be excellent in protecting all
types of composite surfaces and tooling from impact damage that may result in
possible internal fracturing. Also used on aircraft floors
and doorway areas during manufacturing and installation.
Liner allows the product to be die-cut if desired. |
| PROTEX 412X |
For temporary protection of all
types of anodized surfaces to prevent damage or scratches after anodizing
process. |
| PROTEX
50 |
Protection of various metals
and painted surfaces from damage caused by scratches. Self-wound for ease of use in machine
application to flat surfaces. |
| PROTEX 55 |
Decal application. Tack level provides proper lift to vinyl films from liner.
Can be applied to bare aluminum, stainless steel and painted surfaces for
scratch protection during manufacturing and installation. |
| SHARPLINE 200 |
For
die-cut/hand-cut spray mask stencils and masking surfaces to be painted. Used
for sign lettering, truck painting and aircraft stenciling where paint is used
instead of decals. Adhesive is formulated to withstand temperatures (200°F. to
300°F.) for short periods of time. Designed to prevent paint from bleeding
through and allows for a clean sharp edge. |
