MC9706 is an fluoroelastomer coated. wire inserted fiberglass cloth that is used in fire shielding/fire barrier applications where reinforcement and superior resistance to flame, heat and chemicals are required.

  • It can withstand continuous heat exposure up to 400 F (204 C) and intermittent exposure up to 600 F (316 C).
  • MC9706 can also withstand up to a 2000 F (1093 C) flame for 15 minutes with no burn-through or backside ignition.
  • MC9706’s resistance to many types of aircraft oils. Solvents (except ketone and acetone), and other chemicals is outstanding.
  • CFP has certification of file that MC9706 passed test to FAA advisory circular AC 20-135 (1990)
