MATERIAL
The yarn furnished under this data sheet shall be a Nomex® aramid fiber. The yarn shall be electrical grade, continuous filament, having high insulation resistance and high dielectric strength. The material shall be coated with a silicone resin. The material shall be natural in color. A dark green tracer is available if requested.

EFFECTS OF HEAT
The yarn furnished under this data sheet does not melt and does not propagate flame. At about 800°F it carbonizes and forms a tough char.
EFFECTS OF ACIDS AND ALKALIS :
This yarn is unaffected by most acids, except some strength loss after long exposure to hydrochloric, nitric and sulfuric acids. It has generally good resistance to alkalis and excellent resistance to mildew and aging. It also has good abrasion resistance.
CONSTRUCTION
The yarn shall be braided in a flat braid configuration.
